Odisha Subhadra Yojana: A Step Towards Women Empowerment
The Odisha Subhadra Yojana is a government scheme designed to support and empower women in Odisha. This initiative focuses on improving women’s financial independence, health, education, and digital literacy, fostering socio-economic growth in the state.
Objectives of Odisha Subhadra Yojana
- To provide financial aid for better livelihood.

Benefits of Odisha Subhadra Yojana
- Financial Support: Women beneficiaries receive ₹50,000 over five years, divided into yearly payments of ₹10,000.
- Payment Schedule: Payments are credited in two installments of ₹5,000 each, on Rakhi Purnima and International Women’s Day.
- Direct Transfer: Funds are transferred directly to beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
- SUBHADRA Card: Beneficiaries are issued a SUBHADRA ATM-cum-debit card to encourage digital transactions.
- Incentives for Digital Payments: Top 100 women in each village or city who use digital payments the most receive an extra ₹500 as a reward.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the Subhadra Yojana, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
- Income Limit:
- Families under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) or State Food Security Scheme (SFSS).
- Families with an annual income below ₹2.5 lakh.
- Age: Women aged 21 to 60 years as of July 1, 2024.
Note:
- Women turning 21 after July 1, 2024, or 60 after this date, will receive benefits only for their remaining eligible years.
Who is Not Eligible?
You are ineligible for the scheme if:
- You receive ₹1,500 or more per month from any government scheme.
- You or your family are income tax payers.
- Any family member is a government employee or pensioner (excluding ASHA or Anganwadi workers).
- Your family owns a 4-wheeler (except small commercial vehicles).
- Your family owns more than 5 acres of irrigated land or 10 acres of non-irrigated land.

- Fill it and submit it at the respective office.
